All aboard!
Fasten Your Seat Belts

The fun begins! Beginning in November, we need about 20-30 volunteers for each audition and camp weekend to help with cooking, processing of paperwork, souvenir sales, uniform fitting, sewing, and transportation via the airport and bus shuttle. Details located at the bottom of the page. No specific experience is necessary for general tasks. At auditions, members, parents, and volunteers are housed at the EconoLodge motel, and no meals are provided during the weekend.

Continuous shuttle service. Beginning at auditions, about 40-50 Madison Scouts members, instructional staff, and candidate arrive in Wisconsin and Illinois from all over the country. Most arrive on Friday and leave on Sunday. We have set up a shuttle schedule to run continuously throughout Friday to pick up the members and staff. Drivers may also be needed for Saturday to transport sections back and forth to the Drill Practice Facility. Must have proof of drivers license and auto insurance. No DUI.

The fun continues! At camps, volunteers are typically provided a school room to sleep at night. Bring sleeping bag, pillow, and other necessities of overnight travel. You can use the showers, etc.; the Corps uses the showers for both men and women, so ladies will need to wait until the scouts have finished their showers. Meals are typically cooked at the Waunakee Church and transported to practice sites just prior to meal time. There is a snack Friday evening after practice; on Saturday, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack is served. On Sunday, breakfast is served and members get bag lunches for their departure. There are always sewing projects and help is also needed for loading and unloading trucks, selling souvenirs, and other tasks.

Spring Training (EveryDays)
Everydays refers to an extended camp of about 3 weeks in length during May and June. Everydays will end around June 17, as the first competition of the tour is on June 19 in Fairfield, Ohio. Everydays will take place at 2-3 locations. Five volunteers are needed each day for food preparation. In addition, sewing, souvenirs preparation, equipment reconditioning, and other volunteer activities will also take place during this period
